JUNIOR CLASS PLAY SATURDAY NIGHT 8 P. M. “Big Brother,” A Three-Act Comedy To Be Given Saturday night the Junior class will give the roaring three-act comedy “Big Brother’’ at the high school gym. Much lime has been given to rehearsing and the youthful actors have a real treat for all who attend. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rice, of Chicago, were in town to vote Tuesday. Mrs. L. A. Miller, of Frankfort, Ind., returned to her home Wednesday after a few days visit with her sister, Mrs. Geo. Reynolds. Miss Neva Likens entertained the Fidelis class of the Church of the Brethren at her home with a Hallowe’en party. AU enjoyed a very pleasant time. ’ ® . Mr. and Mrs. Ancit Likens and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Likens and their families spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Colonel Likens and son at Sidney, Ind, Mr. Geo. Lambert and Mr. Earl Himes, both of North Webster, were among the winning candidates in this week’s election. Mr. Lambert won the race for County Treasurer by a handsome majority and Mr. Himes was the winner in a close race for Trustee of Tippecanoe township.
A COUNTRY WEDDING Miss Sue Adams and Mr. Dan Stall of Detroit, were united in marriage at the country home of Mr. and Mrs. George Reynolds near here last Saturday at 1:30 p. m. Twentyeight guests from Detroit, New York/Chicago, and Frankfort, Ind., were present. Mrs. Lucille Haworth played the organ during the ceremony. At 2:30 a delicious luncheon was served, after which the happy couple left for New York on their honeymoon. They will be at home in Detroit In the near future. Mrs. Mary Strombeck visited Mrs. Chas. Rentfrow at Syracuse. Mrs. Etta Buell and son Paul were in Ligonier on business Tuesday. Lloyd Miller and John Garber made a business trip to Crown Point Monday. Ford Wyland and Asher Garber have established a wood yard in Webster. Mrs. M. D. Cohan of Chicago and Mrs. F. A. Bornmann, of Wawasee Lake, called on Mrs. Irene Gerard, Wednesday. Billy Myers has had good luck duck hunting this week, reporting five Mallards Thursday and four Wednesday. \' . ’ Mrs. John Garber and Mrs. Gale Conkling attended a ministerial meeting at the Warsaw Church ot God, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Strombeck and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Miller were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Strombeck, Tuesday. Mrs. Mary Bushong, of Syracuse and Mrs. Irene Gerard attended a permanent wave demonstration in South Bend, Tuesday. Mesdames Irene Gerard, Werle Maud Lambert and Lily Rodlbaugh attended the O. E. S. banquet at the Syracuse hotel last Friday. H. J.
