Miss Wilma Robison spent Saturday night and Sunday with Miss Ruth Culler. ■■■• BOURBON FAIR OPENS NEXT TUESDAY, SEPT. 20 The Bourbon fair opens next Tuesday. September 20, and continues through the k 2l, 22 and 23. Secretary M. M. Beck advises the Journal that the largest stock, swine and farm product exhibits will be on display this year the fair has ever shown. 4-H club exhibits as listed will be exceptionally large and most noteworthy. Superintendent of Speed John Urschel, assures race fans attending the fair a dally racing program second to no fair in this circuit. Mr. Hess started building and remodeling the Betes cottage*. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wogoman and their guests Chris Cherra and Henry Latvis returned to their homes in Chicago, after a vacation at the Betes cottage. Mrs. Russell Searer spent Monday with her aunt Mrs. Estelle Swartz. Mr. and Mrs. Searer have been in the Metzler cottage for two weeks and/ were very pleasantly surprised when the employees of the National bank of Three. Rivers. Michigan and their families came with well filled baskets. Mr. Searer is cashier of the bank. Many of our people attended the celebration at Cromwell, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Ringler, of Milford, spent Sunday with his brother and family, Noble Ringler.

OLD RURAL CITIZEN DIED LAST THURSDAY Aaron McClintic Passes Away At The Advanced Age Os S 4 Aaron McClintic died Thursday, September 1, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mead Leamon in Cromwell, at the advanced age of 8 4 yelifls.. OBITUARY - Aaron McClintic, the son of Eston and Mary McClintic, was boru September 25, 1853, in Kosciusko county on a farm adjoining Lake Wawasee on the east, on which he lived his entire life except the last four years. He was the youngest of ten children, five boys and five all of whom preceded him in death. On October 18, 18Z4. he was united in marriage to Susannah Auer, who passed away. March 9. 1907. To this union was boru five children, namely William, Josephine, Ann Eliza, Mary aM Lizzie. William and Ann Eliza preceded him in death. On August 2. 1912, he was married to Mary Fetters. Surviving are the widow and three daughters, Mrs. Mead Leamon, of Cromwell, Mrs. Emanuel Click of near Cromwell, -and Mrs. Edd Larson, of near Lake Wawasee. The deceased passed away Thursday morning September 1, 1938, at the Mead Leamon home in Cromwell, a£ed 84 years, 11 months and 5 days. Funeral service was held Sunday at the home of Mrs. Emanuel Click, and the body laid to rest in the K*eClintic cemetery.
