Rev. and Mrs. J. C. Bailey were in Warsaw and Winona Lake on business, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Weller o Cleveland, Ohio spent the week end at Lake Wawasee. Alden Snavely of Toledo, Ohio, underwent a tonsillectomy at a local physician’s office, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Drukamiller of Warsaw, are the parent of a son, Karson Leßoy, born on Friday, May 6th. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Gawthrop of Milford, spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Foster and Florence. . Rev. Travis Purdy returned Monday from the Methodist Ministerial conference held at Richmond He was re-assigned to the Syracuse charge for the coming year. Fred Hoopengarner left Wednesday for Detroit, after a Plymouth business coupe to be delivered to the Standard Oil Co. of Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Blair Laughlin of Lake Wawasee are the parents of a son, Blair Roderick, born at the Goshen hospital, Thursday, May 5. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Nicolai and daughter Mary, of Fort Wayne, called on Susan Nicolai at the Fred Hinderer home, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Court Slabaugh spent the week end with her daughter, Margery at Indiana University. On Sunday they attended a Mother’s Day banquet at the Chi Omega Sorority House. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Brickel of Elkhart, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Culler and family, Mrs. Hallie Holloway and daughter Marilyn, went to Defiance, Ohio, Sunday to attend the recital of their niece, Mary Jeanette Carey, soprano, of Defiance College Department of Music. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Brickel of, Elkhart chaperoned at a house' party held at the Hallie Holloway 1 cottage on the south shore of Lake j Wawasee over the week end..
