Mlt. result ot long observation and close study respecting
diseases of the chest, this medicine, warranted purely vege
table, has the additional recommendation of having been used for seven years by the public, and also by physicians of eminent. talent, without a single instance of failure in effecting an immediate beneficial result. ,.;. As nu example of the multitude of Certificates we have received in approbation of this Medieine, the following are submitted. Hundreds of others may be c.vr.inincd at the Store: Wonderful care of the Consumption! Although Dr. Taylor's Balsam of Liverwort has found hundreds of advocates, and has produced so large a number of testimonials in its favor,
I cannot withhold my small meed oi praise. Being predisposed to consumption, both from peculiar formation and hereditary transmission, I tried every means to ckeck this disease, and strengthen u naturally weal: constitution. I spent two years at Pisa, one in Koine, two in Florence, and another in the south of France, seeking, meantime, the advice of the best physicians.. Two years since I returned to this country, in about the same situation as when I left it. I had seen in the reading rooms in Europe, much said in favor of Dr. Taylor's Balsam of Liver wort, and as soon as I arrived in this city, I used it, and in threemonths 1 was so well I concluded I could safely pass the winter here, and did so. I have used an occasional bottle now and then during the time, but am now in as good health as is possible. My cough has wholly ceased, and my lungs have every feeling of health. James II;ll, W. Hotel, Courtland st. N. Y. Liver complaint and cough. Having taken a violent cold, which set'led on my lungs and liver, producing a severe cough, and pain in the side and shoulder, which was so severe at times I could scarcely turn over in bed. 1 was gradually wasting away, and weary even of my life. My cough was very distressing, and being accompanied with nausea, loss of appetite, debi lily, and other distressing symptoms, my Ftill'criiigs were extreme. Finding no benefit from any medicine, nor from my physicians, I got a bottle of Dr. Taylor's Balsam of Liverwort, at 375 Bowery, which soon made me well and able to attend io my business. George Yoexo, Druggist, 8G1 Fulton St., Brooklyn. Cour;i, pain in the side and chest cured. Having for a long time been distressed with a severe pain in the side and chest, accompanied with a dry cough, I was induced, upon the urgent solicitations of a friend, to try Dr.'. Taylor's Balsam of Liverwort, aud i must say this medicine lias answered its purpose admirably. , My distress was produced by a severe hurt, and was so great that it was with difficulty I could swallow my food. Indeed, I am satisfied this disease must have terminated in "Con. sumption, or some fatal disease, had it not been cured by this judicious medicine. To all who seek to prolong their lives, 1

A n i t remedy for Iinrraha'anul Cholera Infanlfcirfs 'IMIK CRAM I NATIVE BALSAM, prepared by Dr. David Jayne, of Philadelphia, is, without doubt, the most certain, safe, and effectual remedy ever yet discovered for Dyssentary, Diarrluea, Cholera Morbus and Cholera Infantum or Summer Complaint of children, and Indeed the only article worthy of the least confidence for curing this last named disease; beside, it is so cheap, that it is within the reach of every family, and if mothers could possibly appreciate its virtues, there would 6e few families without it. The following is an extract from a letter received by Dr. Jane from HI. L. Liinpp, M. D. of Baltimore, which, coming from so high a source, is in itself a sufficient evidence of the astonishing efficacy of this medicine in curing diseases of the stomach and bowels. "You ask me what proofs I meet with of the efficacy of your
incdicino. I can safely say that I never prescribed a meaicme for bowel complaints that has given me so much satisfaction, and my patients so speedy and perfect relief as this. Whenever introduced into a family, jt becomes a standing remedy for those ailments, and is called fora gain and again, which I think a pretty good proof of Its efiicacy and usefulness. In the Summer complaint of children it has frequently appeared to snatch, the little victims as it were, from the grave. "It has saved the lifeofniy child, and of such and such achild," Ihave frequently heard Paid. In dysenteric affections of adults, I have time icagaia seen it act like a charm, and give permanent relief in a few hours, I may say in a few minutes. In fine.it Is a valuable medicine, and no family should be without it. Respectfully, M. L. KXAPP, M. D. It is to be hoped therefore, that persons will not allow their prejudice to overcome their better judgment, as is not unfrequently the case with regard to quack medicines, as they are very generously and indiscriminately termed; but, whenever either of the above named diseases occur either to an adult or the tenderest infant, do not ask "What shall I do? shall I give if this or the other?" do not fold your arms in listless and unavailing sorrow and cry "my child," or "my friend is past recovery," but fly at once and procure the Carminative Balsam,-" 'Tis this which has nfi'orded relief after all others have failed. 'Tisthis which has repeatedly snatch'd, as it were, suffering humanity from the verge of eternity, when the last ray of hope had Ceased to be indulged, either by their friends or physicians. lie careful to obtain that which isrcsAas it is a medicine which becomes somewhat impaired by age. Jaynk & Pancoast being agents for the article, are constantly receiving fresh supplies from the East. Tne citizens of St. Louis and the public generally, therefore, would do well to call upon them in preference to purchasing elsewhere, where they would be liable to get that which has been made several years
und which, of course, would not be bo effectual in its operations.

OES NOT REASON and Common Sense teach us that ex
pectoration is the most naturul as well as the most effec
tual agent in arresting and curing Pulmonary Diseases? 'The ' answer must be yes, because obstruction is either Immediately or remotely the cause of Inflammation and Catarrhal Fevers, producing Croup, Consumption and Abscesses of the Lungs,
pain and soreness of the Throat, Breast, Sides, or shoulders llroncbiiis, exciting mucous and purulent secretions, thereby
clogging up the lungs, so as to more or less impede both respiration and the free circulation of the blood, causing difficulty of breathing and asthma, Pleurisy, Hoarseness and Loss of Voice Dropsy of the Heart and Chest, Rupture of Blood vessels and
bleeding from the throat and lungs, and spitting of blood.
To remove this obstruction, from which all these alarming
and dangerous diseases originate, and to produce a radical cure,
nothing has ever been found equal to Jaync's Expectorant.
It stands unrivalled it stands pre-eminent try it, and you
will be forced to acknowledge that its virtues have not, nor can' not be overrated; that it stands far above and beyond the reach :
of competition; that it is the only reasonable, the only natural, and the only truly successful method of arresting and curing diseases of the Pulmonary Organs.
