Heading, a prominent attorney of Hammond, Ind., was in our city today on legal business. II. (Jrahaui, of Uoston, who represents the American Hell Telephone Co., was in our city today. Mrs. Dr. Smith left last evening via. Vaadalia, for Ovideo, Fla., where she will remain some time. The remains of the late Kachel K. Hall passed through here this morning to Warsaw for interment. Mrs. Fletcher Heed living in the south part of town, is reported as seri ously sick with erysepilas. Frank Wilson was taken very sick this morning while attending to his duties at the store and compelled to go home. Wm. Corbin and Harney went to Chicago this morning to attend the fast horse sale. They will return tomorrow noon. John W. Masters returned to his home at Argos this morning, after a visit with friends and relatives at Fl gin, HILittle (lieu, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. K. I'nderwood was very ill last night. He is reported as considerably better this morning. The failure of the Heywood company to keep their engagement at liourbon last night was due to the checking of their baggage, it being carried through to Plymouth instead of I'ourbon. We are very sorry to hear that our former carrier, Darwin Mojeris with out a job. lie is reported as retiring from that position yesterday owing to the smallness of his salary. There was a complaint filed against Dan McLaren last night for intoxication, and he was lodged in jail. The Woman's Home and Foreign Missionery society, of Logansport Presbytery, will meet in the Presbyterian church in this city, on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7 and 8.
