Mrs. Lena Foley, who has been sick for the past year, took her departure yesterday for the Hamaman hospital in Chicago. The regular monthly business meeting of the Y. M. C. A. will be held tonight. All members are desired to be present. Dr. Loring was thrown from his sleigh yesterday evening and dislocated one of his ankles and broke one of the bones causing a very painful fracture. Dr. and Mrs. Shafer, of Rochester, stayed in Plymouth last night enroute for Lapaz where they go to attend the Dr's. father, David Shafer of Lapaz. The Altar Cuild of St. Thomas church, will meet next Monday afternoon Mar. lth, 'M, with Mrs. L. Ii. Schröck. A full meeting is required. The W. C. T. V. will hold their regular meeting next Monday afternoon at which time important business will be transacted, and an earnest call is made for every member to be present. The entertainment given at the opera house last night by the Queen City Kntertainers, was very good, but a little too lengthy. It is to be deplored that home efforts are not more appreciated in our city. We desire to state for the benefit of night watch, Joe Uennett, that the report given toTiiK Inuktenuhnt about him being present at the time the light occurred last Saturday night, was false. We are sorry that we were wrongly informed in regard to this matter and thus do all we can to make matters right. Mr. L. Lauer was a Culver City visitor yesterday, and last night embraced the opportunity of spending an evening with the knights of that place. Warnes, of North Walnut street, were away from home some one stole a lot of cloib.es from a line in their yard. This petty thieving is a great annoyance and should be stopped. Mr. and Mrs. (i. II. Thayer, jr.. seem to be having their share of sickness of late. C. II. has been con lined to the house for several days on account of temporary indisposition, and Mrs. Thayer is now reported mite ill with lagrippe. As announced a few days ago Miss Ilaitie Kuppel has been ill for some time. We learn this morning that her illness has become verv serious, and her sisters Mrs. C. W. I Mil, of Chicago, and Mrs. Klla McPermett, of Streator, have been summoned to her bedside. The solid through trains of the Nickel Plate Road equipped with all modern ! appliances for safety, speed and com fort are a prominent features of that Popular Line. Their Fast Eastern Express leaving Chicago at 1:.'50 p. m daily, runs through solid to New York City, arriving at that point at (itfo p. m the next evening. Experience is the best teacher. He went among his associates and inform eti them of his intention, also selecting his pall bearers. He secured a bottle ol carbolic acid, and upon arriving home, bade his mother and two sisters good-bye. He immediately went to his room and took the poison. Medical as sistance was summoned, but little hope of his recovery is intertained. Neenan is nineteen years old, and no reason is known for his inclination to shuffle off. From Friday' Daily. A. H. Manie and Pert Harris furnished the music for the liusiness Men's Carnival at Argos last evening. It is said the carnival was quite a success. Mrs. J. A. Cunningham returned homo yesterday from an extended visit ot several days with relatives and friends at Nilesand St. Joseph, Mich igan.
