All the portraits at Ryan A; Joseph's, Today and Monday Among the "classic" names given to j towns in Indiana by its early pioneers are such as the following: Tailholt is in Poone county, Henpeck in Cass. Puckerbrush in Wabash, Toadleap in Hamilton, Suuankum in Hendricks, Pughep in Johnson, Pugtovvn in Posey, Possumtrot in Prown and Lickskillet in Morgan. A special to the Michigan City Dispatch tells of a 20 year old daughter of a farmer near New Pullalo, as approaching death. It is said that lier brother was a cigaret liend and died from the use of them. Circumstances point to this being tho cause of the young lady's sickness, as she has wasted away to a mere skeleton. Those interested in the late Fourth ward atTair have, so wo are informed, tiled a waiver with the court at Indianapolis and the matter has been certified back to the clerk of the court here, t hat the case has been reversed in all its bearings. An exchange says: "If people wolud purchase green coffee and brown it in their houses, there would be fewer cases of dyphtheria, scarlet and typhoid lever The aroma arising from the browning berry is one of the best agents in disinfecting dwellings of impure air. It is easier to buy coffee already browned than to prepare it, but to prepair it once a week saves health and doctor bills. Tho doors should be left open and let the aroma pervade each loom. A.L.Fisher, of the Inhki'IIXIikxt force, lost a pocket-book containing quite a sum of money last week on the train near Crown Point. Ho did not discover his loss until that evening.
