(Juite an enjoyable time was had Wednesday night at the residence of Jacob Finger, near Twin Lakes. Over fifty young people were present, Plymouth, of course, being amply represented. It would be most sincerely appreciated by Tin: Indkitmuint, when McDonald, of Independent No. 'J, refers to the other papers in Plymouth, if he would designate the one he means as No. 1 or No. 2. We make this statement simply because he neglected to do so in one or two of his feeble allusions this week. A peculiar and shocking accident is reported as taking place in Fort Wayne last Monday. Peter Kosselot was ridding up in an electric light tower elevator when the cable, which was covered with ice from the sleet storm, parted. It will take up the discussion of sub jects of deep interest to all agricultural ists, and no farmer in this county should fail to attend one or more sessions of this institute. Programs will be distributed to all parts of the county early next week. Not Well .ttenll. The meeting of the 18th Indiana vol unteers, winch was held yesterday at Argos, was not as well attended as anticipated. Previous annual meetings have shown an attendance of from T to 110, while Thursday's meeting nuiii bered but forty. While the small at tendance had a tendency to cast a small cloud over those present it was soon brushed aside and a good tune was en joyed. A K;ire Find. There is seldom a trouble that visits us poor mortals but some where in the course of events some good is forth coming. Take for instance the collection of stamps by Mrs. Mary Holmes, at Kaneville, Illinois. It seems astounding, but 7,XX),(XK) stamps were collected, and while the government had a decidedly ditlicult time in shutting oil" the inllux of letters, yet we learn some good has come out of it after all. It is stated that a few days ago while they were lookiLg over the stamps one of the old and well known Urattleboro stamps was discovered. This one stamp, it is stated, is worth in round numbers Si ."(). It i llif Other Fellow. The Isin.i'KNnF.NT in its article regarding the trouble between Swoverland and Stewart, which led to the former's death, stated the trouble was caused through the accusation made by Meridith Swoverland against (Jus Sickmiller, regarding the disappearance of some clothes. Thursday ( i us Sickmiller reported in regard to the matter, and stated that the report was not correct; that he had never been connected with this matter, but that it was one Frank Sickmiller. We are glad to make the correction, as we never desire to place anyone in a.false position.
