Mrs. Alleman was about IS years of age, and for several years has been a sufferer from that dread disease, cancer Several times she has been to Chicago, operations being being performed to relieve her of the trouble, but to no avail. Funeral services were held today at 2 o'clock. The little 2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rock, died very suddenly Wednesday night with croup. The funeral services were hel l at the resi deuce this afternoon at 1 o'clock.

We note by our exchanges tliat reading classes have been formed in a number of localities, and these long winter evenings are profitably spent. In Plymouth, so far as we are aware, no such classes have been formed, yet we have it from good authority that a gathering of the "would-be" is heid nightly, and the literary gem used is composed of fifty-two pages. It is further stated that under the oratorical inlluenco predominating at these meetings, a "full house ' seems to stand no show by the side of a "royal Hush."
