Santa Claus must have had a busy time Christmas eve, as all of our merchants report a large trade of holiday goods on Tuesday. JJourüon has .its share of would be smarties, or hoodlums, each of whom fully deserves a little parental discipline, but by appearances and actions of these cute boys their liome training is of small extent. Their ages range from 0 to 11, and they can be found on the streets any time during the day and evening gathered in bunches and bo language is too vulgar or biaspiir-mous ; for them to ell at people passing along j
the streets. This crowd, with its actions and language, creates a bad impression of our town on outside people, while our people who know them judge with allowance.
