Robberies. " I About 10 o'clock on Saturday niirhtlastj four persons went to the house of V incent j Taylor, an old man living about two miles j East of this city and knocked at the door he demanded to know who was there and they answered '"the Cherry boys." The old man got up out of his be i an I opened the door and they walked in. lie punched up the fire and discovered by the light they were not the Cherry boys and so informed them. One of them drew a revolver and pointed it at his head demanding his money, and another approached the bed and leveled a revolver at the old lady informing" her he would shoot 3ier dead if fhe moved. The remaining two th;n searched the house and found about two hundred and thirty-five dollars, which they took and left. On the Sunday night following the residence of Ja'sC. Tucker, residing in Hendricks Township, was miliary entered and three hundred and ninety five dollars taken. Wo believe no arrests have yet been made, although the participants in the latter robbery are well known.

PrtoGPvEss. Some two months since a Democratic Club was oruaniied in this Township for the purpose of perfecting a closer organisation of the opponents of insane and treasonable radicalism, and disiemenating sound political information amon j the people in the w ay of papers and documents. The success thus far of the Club is a matter of congratulation to every true friend of the Union and th. Constitution, its numerously attended meetings each week showing that the con
