CooHtitution and By-Laws of the Constitutional Democratic Glub of Addison Township. CONSTITUTION. Sec. 1. This association shall be known by the name and style of the ContitutioTial Democratic Ciub of Addison Township. Sec. il. All persons who wish to stand hy the Constitution of the United State, the Constitution of the State of Indiana, nd all other written laws of the land not in coDtlict with thi ir principles, may become members of this Association by subscribing their names to this Constitution, and the By-Laws which may from time to time be adopted by thpClub. Sec. 3. The Ofiicers of this Associa tion "lull consist of one President, twr. Vioc-Fresi'lent, a Secretary and one Recording Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Doorkeeper, all of whom shall be chosen y the Members of the Association, nt their regular meetings, and shall hold thetr oftices for a term of four weeks. ec. 4. It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all the meetings oi the Association to preserve order and decorum, decide all questions coming before the house, subject, however, to an appeal to the house, appoint committee kc, kc, and generally to discharge such duties as are required of the presiding officer in deliberative bodies. Sec. 5. It shall be. the duty of the " Vice-President in the absence of tin President, to perform all the duties ol that officer. Sec. 6. It shall be the dot v of the Sec retary, to do all the corrospon lence o: the Association and, together with stir Committee men as may be apointed foi that purpose, invi:e and secure the ser rises of such Speakers as may be desirei to Address the Aaociatioii. Skc. 7. It shall be the duly of the Re cording Secretary to keep a fair record of all tha proceedings of the Association, end give notice of all called meetings, i any, and perform such other and further nuties as are required of secretaries o rimilar bodies. 8. The Treasurer shall receive, safely keep, and as the Association orders, iiburse all monies belonging thereto, am hall make, at the close of his term o oke a full report of all his doings iu the premises. . Sec. 9. The Doorkeeper shall provide a suitable place for the Society to meet, nee that the door u open for the members to pas and repass, and maintain the necessary fires for the comfort of the mem bers, and shall be re-embnrsed by the Association for any and all necessary expenditures of money for their comfort i and convenience. Sec. 10. This Association shall have power at all times by a majority of the Members present at any regular meeting to mako and adopt such By-Laws, as they may think proper, uot in conilirt with the provisions of this Constitution. Sec. 11. This Constitution may be altered or amended, at any - time by the ote of a majoyity of all the Members of the Association. BY-LAWS. 1. This Association shnllmeet at least once each week, at the Court House in Shelbyville, or such othei place as may be designated by the Club, at any regular meeting, commencing at 1 o'clock p. m. and continne in - session until they see proper to adjourn. 2. The Treasurer of tho Association !ha':l disburse no moneV except on order drawn on htm by the Recording Secretary and signed by the President. 3. The President and Secretary shall not draw an order on the Treasurer unless the appropriation has first been made by the Association, and their vote record1 oa the minutes of the Record.
