Seniors In Focus

Phil White is a one man band with his 8 instruments. He plays I the trumpet, trombone, baritone, melodica, piano, and 6string, 12 string,-and bass guitars. He taught himself to play all but the trumpet Phil was also a member of the varsity, stage, and pep bands and played the bass guitar for the One Way Street Choir. U PHIL WHITE Electronics, not music, will be his major at ITT. A fascination with store lights and attempts to copy their effects created his interest in electronics. His 8 years as a Boy Scout will end when he is 18 and can be a troop leader. He is now a Junior Assistant Scout Master and Firecrafter. A varsity swimmer, he managed the team as a freshman and sophomore. This year he

He teaches tennis and swimming, KEN DEARING Ken Dearing’s next diploma will come from Butler University where he hopes to study accounting. He was business manager of the yearbook and worked at Ayr-Way. Ken, who competed in track, cross country, and football, was a varsity basketball team mem-

ber. He belonged to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Nonstop school for the next two years is Elaine Smith’s plan. She will study accounting at tee Indiana Central Business College beginning in July. Elaine belonged to the National Honor Society and the Art Club. She worked at Steak *N* Shake. ■I ELAIN SMITH Backed by 4 years of high school German, she hopes to visit Germany in the future. Nancy Smith exchanged her glittering baton for a glittering engagement ring. She twirled 1% years in the varsity band and played the flute. In several baton contests she earned first ratings.

NANCY SMITH Nancy is the receptionist at Collins Oldsmobile. No daring rescues have been performed by Debbie Meyer, Eagle Creek Park lifeguard. Her usualduty is preventing file youngsters from throwing sand. Not planning to be a professional lifeguard, Debbie will major in business at Indiana University. She considers teaching business a careerpossibility. Debbie, with a 70 word-per-minute typing certificate and a 130 wpm shorthand certificate, won the high school’s business award.
