Dolphin Cub To Hold Presidents “500” Ball
Members of the Dolphin Club and their guests will dance to the music of “The Light Touch” during the President’s “500” Ball planned for May 20. Advance sale tickets for the 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., party will sell for $5 a couple for members and $8.50 a couple for S.H.S.6radaates Honored At I.U.
The following students enrolled in Indiana University, Bloomington campus who are graduates of Speedway High School were honored at Founders Day ceremonies at Bloomington on April 19. These pupils were straight “A” students in one or more at the preceding semesters with a 4.0 rating: Miss Alice Ballinger, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Malcolm Ballinger; Mike Crider, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Crider; Eric DeWeese, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph DeWeese; Miss Jane McCallister, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCallister; and Miss Roxann Torrella, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J.A. Torrella.

Blue Birds Meet The Blue Birds of James A. Allison School met on Wednesday, May 3, to finish Weir Mother’s Day projects and they hope to get their service activity into full swing in June. There will be no meeting on May 10. The Blue Birds also wish to thank the mothers who drove them to the Speedway Fire Station and to inform everyone to watch for the exciting display at ttie Public Library on Blue Birds and their activities.
