Charter Banquet Planned By New Optimist Club
The new Optimist Club of Suburban West will hold its charter presentation banquet at 7:30 Friday, April 28, at Indiana university Medical Center, Student union Building, toward B. Dillon, 6548 Westdrum Road, president of die new aervice club, announced last night. Wffltam B. Scott, of Jeffersonville, District Governor will present the charter. Dillon receives tte charter for the Optimist Club of Suburban West, the group will officially join foe more than 3000 clubs of Optimist Internationa], one of foe world’s largest men’s service organizations. Optimist International has a wide range of objectives from “inspiring respect for foe law” to “aiding and encouraging development of youth.” Indianapolis Optimists, wives, representatives of other clubs in foe district and district officials will attend foe banquet.

Rehearsals for “Hello Dolly” are in foil swing at the Speedway High School where the production will open in Jordan Auditorium for two performances on May 12 and 13.

The final meeting of foe current year for foe Speedway Associate Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa was held on Monday evening, April 24, when members met at 6:30 p.m. at foe Speedway Motel Restaurant for dinner. A business meeting was held at foe home of Mrs. Harrison J. Blind and as in foe past it was announced that foe Tri Kappas are sending a handicapped child to Camp Riley for two weeks this summer.
