Speedway Girl Chosen For PU Cheer Squad

Sheryl Lynn Esarey, 5808 West 29th Place, has been chosen as a member of the Purdue University Cheer leading Squad for the Basketball Season beginning with the first Big 10 game January 8. She win serve during the basketball season this year and during the football season in 1972. The 10 member squad is comprised of five boys and five girls. Sheryl is a sophomore at Purdue in Elementary Education and is a member cf the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and serves as activities chairman. She was a member cf Speedway High School squads on the Freshman Squad during 1948 and 1967, the Reserve Squad during 1967 and 1968 and on the Varsity Squad during 1968 and 1970.
