Seventh Graders Open Season

Speedway Junior High School’s seventh grade basketball team won the first two games of the current season, defeating Brownsburg 44-31 there on Nov. 18, and Decatur Central 41-30 at home on Nov. 22. The Speedway B team then lost to Lebanon’s B team 30-26; the A team score against Lebanon was a 35-29 loss for Speedway on the same date, Nov. 29. On Dec. 2, Speedway edged Lincoln Junior High of Pike Township, 33-31. The local seventh graders met Craig there of Lawrence Township Tuesday night, and hosts Franklin Township tonight. Members of Speedway’s seventh grade team are Paul Fulton, Tom Whinrey, Curt Yeftich, Dean Medenwald, Duane Bryant, Steve Kottaridis, Greg Suttle, Jeff NieLeaf Pickup December! 5 The last leaf pickup for this fall will be held on December 15, according to announcement by Lew Jackson, Speedway Street Commissioner. Anyone having leaves to be picked up should have them at the curb on that date.

Job’s Daughters, Bethel 38, will exemplify The Living Cross as a part of tee installation program.

The antique tool collection owned by their fifth grade Westlake School teacher, Mr. Carson C. Cottrell, is on display at tee school as tee class works on a project to determine how early American settle is built their homes and cleared their lands.
