Nursing Program Nurses are vital members of the health team and are needed desperately throughout the state. Over fifteen of the forty-five schools offering nursing education programs in Indiana are still accepting applications for the fall semester. To be a licensed practical nurse (LJ’JiJh one year of training in an approved school and successful completion of the test for licensure is required. The R.N. (registered nurse) may be trained in a two-year Associate Degree program, a three-year hospital Diploma program ora4year Baccalaureate Dearee program.
