The ONLY way to thoroughly CLEAN a CARPET!
THIS PROCESS DEEP CLEANS:’ * Uses steaming hot water with a cleaning additive, plus a powerful vacuum for complete extraction. * Will not harm or shrink even the most delicate carpet. * Completely extracts grit. dirt, soil and the soaps and detergents left from previous cleanings wi th the old conventional methods. * Makes the other methods obsolete; You can actually SEE the extraction of all the dirt, germs and damage causing grit removed from your carpeting. * Prolongs the life of carpeting, because not only the surface is cleaned, but this method cleans all the way to the base of the carpet. * One cleaning lasts twice as long as the conventional methods, so in the long run this process is more economical. * Drying time is from 2to 4 hours, depending on the type of carpet

Band Honored An Editorial The Ben Davis Band, 160 strong with one hundred-twenty fans and parents, recently returned from Europe with more band laurels. The people of Speedway, your neighbors, wish to tip our hats to this great Marching Band of Ben Davis High School after a 28-day trip to Holland and competing against bands from Europe, Denmark and Holland. Ben Davis, on July 18, took first place in the Marching Band Contest; and on Sunday, July 19, took first place with distinction in the Concert Band Division. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Dell, 8854 W. Washington Street, two of the adult supervisors who accompanied the Band, had praise for the conduct of each and every member of this High School organization. Mrs. Dell stated, that on the trip to Algiers, the Band was so enthusiastically received that they played six encores and would probably have played six more but time ran out and they had to leave to resume their trip. So once again, to Mr. Hal Meurer, Director of the Band, and to the Band members, we, your friends and neighbors of the Town of Speedway, offer our congratulations for a job well done. You brought credit to your school, your Band and your younger generation.
