Those who have followed the progress of the girls have noticed that the girls have developed more skill and understanding of the game. Leonard and Tim Casady in second place. Brigette Graff and Carlos Graff teamed to place third in the doubles shuffleboard tournament. Winners at Leonard Park included: Div. I - Gary Raikes, Ricky Rosner, second, and Mark Allen, third. Bill Nester was the winner of the championship cup. Bill Nester and Dan Williams teamed to win the championship cup in the doubles division. Third time must be the charm as they have lost the championship game the past two years. Keith Thompson and Steve Williams teamed and placed second and Mark Allen and Gary Raikes for third in the tournament. Several signed up for croquet at Leonard Park. A singles and doubles tournament is being played this week and the results will be announced next week.

Clarence Kinder
Clarence “Skeet” Kinder, manager of Kinder Texaco, located on 16th Street at Lynhurst, has been manager of the station for the last lSjrears. Kinder worked for Eastern Air Lines for 15 years before leasing the Texaco station in 1955. While working for Eastern, he handled air traffic by radio and coordinated ground relays. Born in Cleveland, IncL, the 53-year-old manager and his wife, Maxine, have two children. Ronald, 26, is currently working for the Bell Telephone Co., and Renne, 16, is a sophomore at Speedway High School where she is very active in functions. ing at the station almost as long as it has been there, 21 years, and Frank Nicely has worked at the station for the past 10 years. Though manager of the station, Kinder works in all facets of the service station's operation. *T don't ask my employees to do anythingl wouldn't do myself,'' he commented. Kinder said that he does not have much spare time for outside activities. “I work a hundred hours a week, and that doesn't leave too much time for anything else," he added. “I enjoy my work, It is very interesting, though routine. I like being my own boss and I like my business the way it Is." The station was recently remodeled to improve its appearance and improve the station's operation.
