Vane Wedding Held
The Speedway Christian Church was the setting Friday, June 19th, for the wedding of Miss Brenda Sue Frank and Amn. Michael John Baldwin. Parents of the couple are Mr. George R. Frank, 2344 N. Gerrard Drive, Speedway, and Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Baldwin, 1230 West 73rd Street For the wedding the bride selected a white linen gown with Venice lace trim. Dainty embroidery adorned the Josephine bodice which was outlined with Venice lace blossoms and featured a square neckline outlined with lace. The floor-length gathered skirt, with lace bordered hemline, was complimented by a chapel length detachable train bordered With lace. The bride wore a cathedral length lace edged mantilla and carried two dozen long stemmed white roses tied with a satin bow. The attendants wore linen navy, red, and white sleeveless formats. The red Empire bodice was designed with a round neckline and a white Insert blouse effect decorated with a double row of brass buttons formed a jacket effect.

The skirt was fashioned of navy linen and a navy pillbox, trimmed with red, white, and blue striped grosgrain ribbon band ending in hack streamers, formed the headpieces. The matron of honor, Mrs. Russell Hollaway of Brownsburg, carried a loose bouquet of red carnations, white amlzonlca lilies and blue cornflowers with red and white streamers. The other attendants, Miss Francie Tomlinson and Miss Jo Lynn Black, carried loose bouquets of red carnations, white pompom mums and blue cornflowers with red and white streamers. Richard Baldwin served as the best man with Ronald Baldwin and Roger Winkler serving as ushers. Following a wedding trip to Chicago the couple will take up residence in Florida Speedway Students Receive Nenois Speedway students have received degrees, graduated and become members of university organizations in the past month. Speedway students graduating from Indiana Central College were: Robert O. Stewart, Bachelor of Science, 5467 Hollister and Martha M. Taylor, Bachelor of Science, 6101 Crawfordsvllle Road. Thomas A. Burnett, a sophomore at Indiana University, was named to the Dean's List, and Harold Hefner of Speedway was graduated from Manchester CoUege, North Manchester, Indiana. Recent university inductees include: Miss Marilyn Dirks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dirks, 5632 W. 29th Street, Chapter, SlgIna Theta Tau, lUPUI Medical Center. Also from Purdue University, Douglas Warren Small, 6117 W. 30th Street, Speedway, Sigma Pi Sigma and from Ball State University, Miss Candice L. Walker, sophomore, 1827 Ellen Drive, Speedway, Sigma Zeta.
