@ Speedway Sports And Track News by F. H.. Jr. Let’s take our hats off to those INDIANA PACERS. Champions of the ABA. Indiana should be proud that it has another champion in its long list of sports champions. It was a real team effort so let’s all say congratulations for a job well done. Speaking of Pacers, ART BECKER, seen shooting pix in the south turn and 808 NETOLICKY working at Firestone. May 30th is upon us at last. It’s been a long and interesting month. Let’s make note that the rookies have been a great crop this year. Many didn’t succeed but to ALLISON, MUTHER, SIMON and WELD, the best of luck come race day. To the rest of the drivers who didn’t make the show we will be looking forward to seeing you next year. To our foreign drivers, KEVIN BARTLETT and CARLOS PAIRETTI, we certainly hope you had an intersting stay in Indianapolis. We hope to see you again. The race should be two great races. The hot dogs in the front of the pack and RUBY, BRABHAM and McELREATH, trying to catch up. As to the prediction on he winner - it’s a hard choice. F.H., Jr. would like to have one of the following win: A.J. (TEX) FOYT, win his fourth; LLOYD RUBY with his winning smile his first; JOHNNY RUTHERFORD that real nice guylon the front row win his sirst, little mightymight, MARIO ANDRETTI, his second;,the real sleeper, MIKE MOSLEY, his first; everyone’s favorite, ROGER McCLUSKEY, his first and last butlnot least the All-American guy, DAN GURNEY after 2 seconds and all the rest of the drivers but F.H., Jr. will have to go with the racer’s racer, A.J. FOYT, the king can still show the younger gang some tricks. To all 33 drivers, God Speed. May it be a safe and sane race. To the INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, THE FLYER JOURNAL wishes to thank you for your oourtesy during May. It’s been an interesting month.
