Speedway Homemakers Speedway Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 13 at the home of Nila Heston. Each member is to bring their own sandwich. The hostess will furnish a desert and coffee. Do-ers Homemakers The Speedway Do-ers Homemakers will hold their November meeting in the home of Mrs. Ruth McWhorter, 853 Beaumont Court, on Wednesday, the 12th at 9:00 a.m. Mrs. Jane Sanders will be co-hostess. Achievement Day ideas will be discussed and there will be a demonstration on how to make velvet roses. Officers for 1970 have been elected as follows: Mrs. Ruth McWhorter, President; Mrs. Joan Neiman, Vice-President; and Mrs. Carol Steckler, Secretary - Treasurer. Card Parties There will be two Card Parties at the Mickleyville Volunteer Fire Dept. 817 S. Ingamer. Times are 2 and 7 p.m. These are sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. There will be good food including homemade pies served from 1 p.m. on. Many nice prizes. Come and meet your friends at Mickleyville on the 9th.

Speedway’s Sparkplugs defeat* ed the Plainfield Quakers last Saturday by a score of 52*0. The team closed the season with a 7-1-1 record. Speedway reserves won their final game by outscoring Whiteland 12-0, and the freshmen finished their season with a win over Northwest 28-0.
