ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Poflo 1) of Saint Theresa, the Little Flower. Saturday is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Monday will be a free day at St. Christopher school. Each Community may observe its Official Community Holiday as a free day. If this Holiday occurs on a day which is otherwise free, the next school day may be declared free. The hour for men of St. Christopher to worship at the Nocturnal Adoration, Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 14th and Meridian streets, will be Saturday, October 4th, from 2:00 to 3:00 a.m. Sandwiches and other food and drinks may now be purchased at the snack bar up to 10:00 p.m. at the weekly Friday night Adult Socials at St. Christopher. They begin at 7:00 p.m. in the school social room. CYO monthly Paper Sale this week-end Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 3d, 4th and sth. Crates will be on the east side of the parking lot of the school. Tomorrow, October 3d, the grade children of St. Christopher school will begin a Candy Sale. Proceeds are to be used for CYO activities, both our grade school and high school youths. God’s Housekeepers this week-end will be Dolores Rolles, Nieta Atee, Arlina Wagner, Beth Holland, Lee Brier, Jean Edwards and Sylvia Dial. St. Christopher “56” football team defeated St. Gabriel’s Sunday, 20 to 6. These hard-playing boys have not been defeated yet, and tied only one. Congratulations! They are students of St Agnes Academy who will be calling on friends and neighbors during the all-girl school’s annual candy sale. Proceeds are used for scholarships and maintenance of the long established near-north-side school St. Agnes serves high school girls from throughout Marion County and beyond. Indianapolis Rose Society The Indianapolis Rose Society will hold its October meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. in the Merchants National Bank, 6031 E. Washington St. A very interesting program is planned by Mr. Bryant Millikan. “One Complete Year of Rose Growing.” Mr. Millikan will evaluate his roses from the standpoint of growth, disease resistance and performance.
