To meet the great demand for nurses, 67 young women and one man have completed the two-year associate of arts degree program offered by the School of Nursing of Indiana University and operated at Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis. Simpson, 521 Embassy Row, both of Speedway will receive the Associate in Science DegreeDental Hygiene at graduation ceremonies of Indiana University in Bloomington, Monday, June 9. Miss Kosiura graduated from Speedway High School, and Mrs. Penrod is a graduate of Marion High School, Marion, Indiana.
Marvin Virgil Odom, director of secondary education and associate professor of education at Hanover College, will receive the Ed.D. at Ball State University at commencement exercises to be held Wednesday, June 4. Born in Speedway, Ind., Mr. Odom was graduated from Lizton High School in Hendricks County. He received both the bachelor’s and masters degrees from Purdue University, and also attended Canterbury College and Indiana University.

graduation from the U. S. Air Force Academy in Colorado on June 4th where he was commssioned second lieutenant and received a B. S. Degre in Electrcal Engineering. During his 4 years at the Academy he consistently was named to the Dean’s List and also served as Administrative Officer in his squadron with the rank of cadet captain. He graduated from Speedway High School and received his appointment to the Academy in 1965. Lieutenant Lewis will report to Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas, on August sth where he will be assigned to the Security Service of the U. S. Air force.
