Members attending will tour the Cerebral Vascular Disease Clinical Research Center and Indiana University Medical Center and the Hemodialysis Unit at Veterans Administration Hospital on Wednesday morning. At the Wednesday afternoon sessions, Dr. Richard L. Schultheis will speak on 1969 Medical Legislation and Algy S. Mcßride and R. A. CHILDREN'S MUSEUM April has been proclaimed Hoosier Heritage Month, and the Children’s Museum will lead off this month’s observations Saturday (April 5) with the movie “Ain’t God Good to Indiana.” This award winning color film, narrated by Herb Shriner, describes the early days and development of the Hoosier state. The free program begins at 11 o’clock in the assembly hall of the museum, 3010 N. Meridian. The museum’s traditional Pennsylvania German Easter egg tree has been decorated with hundreds of hand-painted eggs and may be seen at the Children’s Museum

The special exhibit, “Arab Life,” seen at the Children’s Museum through March, has been held over through April. Included in this extensive display are items from the land, people, family, home and community life and creative art work. A guided tour of the museum will be conducted every Wednesday afternoon at 3:45, and the public is invited.
EASTER SEAL EGG HUNT The thirteenth annual Easter Seal Egg Hunt, sponsored by Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, will be held Saturday, April 5, 10:30 a.m. at the gavernor’s mansion, 4343 North Meridian. Governor and Mrs. Edgar D. Whitcomb will be co-hosts for the event which will be a highlight of the 1969 Easter Seal campaign. The egg hunt will be open to all children, four through seven years old. Invitations will be sent but it will not be necessary to have one in order to be admitted to the hunt. Members of the Junior Auxiliary of Pi Beta Phi will cook, color, and hide 3,600 eggs for the children. They will hide 75 additional gold plastic eggs. The Women of the Loyal Order of the Moose, #ll, have donated stuffed toy bunnies and chickens which will be given to the lucky finders of the gold plastic eggs. The members of the Alpha Gamma Delta alumnae have purchased the toys. Members of the Indianapolis Alumnae of Kappa Kappa Gamma will sack 1,200 bags of candy

vice. During the Service held from 8:00 to 9:00 there will be combined pre-school classes as follows: Crib Room Care; Toddler-Twos, Room 107; Threes-Kindergarten, Room 105. No grade school classes. The Fifth Graders (both services) will meet in their room, with their parents, at 7:45 a.m., and attend the 8:00 service as one group. Following the service, refreshments will be served back in their classroom. During the 9:30-10:30 and 11:00-12:00 services, there will be one-hour church school classes for Crib Room through 4th Grade, but no youth or adult classes. There will be a Service of Baptism at the Sunrise Service, and again at 4:00 in the afternoon. There will be no C.W.F. Bible Study on Monday, April 7th. Department of Christian Education will meet Monday evening, 7:00 p.m., April 7th, in the Bethany Room. Pastor’s Cabinet will meet at 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 7th, in Room B-l. Mrs. John Ewald, a member of Hope Church, and Bible teacher, will be guest speaker, using as her subject selected scripture. Dates for Vacation Church School have been announced July 28 to August 8. Mrs. Walter Bishop is Director and Mrs. John Etscheid is Associate Director. The theme will be “The Church in Today’s World. Boys and girls four years old through third grade are eligible for V.C.S. Fourth and Fifth Grade graduates may enroll for Day Camp, which will be held July 30, 31, and Aug. 1. Chi Rho Camp dates for 6th and 7th grade graduates will be announced later, as well as dates for Sr. High Conference. The 1969 Assembly of the State Convention of Association of Christian Churches in Indiana will be held in Indianapolis, at the Farmers Building of the State Fair Grounds. The Convention is open to any member of a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) provided they register. The advance registration deadline is Tuesday, April Bth. If you are interested in attending any of the sessions, please check with church office for your registration forms. Sewing for the 1969 Fall Festival will begin April 9th at the Dotlich Farm. The following items can be used by the workers: dolls, clean clothing, dishes, cooking utensils, ceramics, furniture, lamps, picture frames, jewelry, toys, appliances, books, draperies and curtains; glass jars of all sizes and jelly glasses, scraps of any kinds of material, fringe, bias tape, old sheets and. sheet blankets, artificial flowers, Christmas decorations, old nylon hose, styrofoam, zippers, beads, sequins, buttons, foil pie pans, and any other items you may have. If you are interested in knitting in your own home, call Mrs. Lambert, 244-2053 about yarn for sweaters or afghans and scuffies. Call Mrs. Baker, 244-0286, if you’d like to make doll clothes. Material will be furnished to any retired man interested in making a project in his home.
