A Word to the - Lovely Lady... We have discussed many ways and means to prevent dry skin, which, of course, will induce wrinkling and an aged appearance. These methods have been tried and proven successful, but, I forgot to mention one of the greatest wrinkle contributors . . . the inevitable Frown. You may have heard the old adage, “it takes more muscles to frown than to laugh!” Well, this is most certainly true. One cannot have the emotions of actually crying and laughing at the same time. I do not mean that tears cannot come to your eyes when you are laughing heartily. You can easily replace the frown with a smile and create less wear and tear on that valuable epidermis. An emotion definitely starts from within, and, with enough practice, you can defeat those emotions which will bring about a frown.
More often than not, people will laugh with you, but, you generally frown alone. This is part of the secret of the Real Woman, many beautiful, wrinkle free faces will prove this statement to you. Worry, anxiety and fear are emotions you will have to eliminate from your thoughts to keep away that frown. With constant practice, anything can become a habit, and, with all the good habits we follow each and every day, this one may be the most essential. Try to laugh or smile the next time a frown may be in the making, and, you will have to admit that it isn’t difficult at all. “Happiness is not a station you arrive at, it is a by-product of every day living.” Sincerely, Claudia
Live Christmas Gifts Live Christmas gifts in the form of lovable pets will be the topic of a program this Saturday morning (December 14) at the Children’s Museum, and all boys and girls who dream of a puppy in their Christmas stocking are invited! Mrs. Neil Thompson of the Speedway Pet Shop will give the program, telling about suitable pets for gift giving and how to care for them. She will have with her a few animals that could become presents for younsters. Housing and adequate care to meet the requirements for these pets will be explained, and if the younster already has a pet Mrs. Thompson will make gift suggestions for the child to give the pet to make its life more happy and comfortable. The program is free and is-for all younsters.
