SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) day, we shall continue our journey through Advent towards Christmas as we sing together carols old and new and hear the old old story of Bethleham sung by our choirs. Let us make this season of the year a time of family worship. Be present with us as families to worship Christ the King. We would make this further reminder to the families of our church regarding the special services on Sunday, the 15th of December. Once again at both services the emphasis will be on children and these will be “Children’s Gift Services”. As in previous years, the children will bring gifts to place around the Christmas trees for later distribution to needy families throughout the city. It is requested that children who normally come to the first Sunday School (that is 9:50 to 10:50 a.m.) will attend the worship service that begins at 8:45 a.m. and they will be given opportunity to bring their gifts down during that service. Children who normally attend the 11:00 a.m. Sunday School will attend that same worship service. A further reminder will be given next week.
