VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION Veterans* Day will be appropriately observed in Indianapolis on Monday. November 11, with the traditional parade and attendant festivities. Major General John S. Anderson, Adjutant General of Indian*, the Parade Chairman, has announced that in excess of 6,000 persons will participate in the salute to the Veterans of all wars. The parade is to form on Pennsylvania at North Street and will travel the usual parade route down Pennsylvania to Market,

The reviewing stand will be on the west steps of the Indiana War Memorial. - Among the participants will be the ROTC Units from all schools in Marion County and bands from most of these schools. In addition, various units from Fort Benjamin Harrison and reserve military units, as well as delegations from veterans’ groups will form the bulk of the 1% hour parade. The Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce will award first place prizes to the best ROTC Units in the parade. The 1 award will be made at the annual banquet set
for 7:30 p.m. at the Athletic Chib. The Indianapolis Star and News will also present awards to outstanding members of the various reserve groups of Indiana at the banquet. General Robert Morehead is the president of the Marion County Veterans’ Day Council which is planning the day’s activities.
