Adult season football tickets will be on sale at the Athletic Director’s Office in Speedway High School on Thursday, September 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Price is $3.50 for five games. units which have indicated they will participate in the parade are the Indianapolis Motorcycle Drill Team; the Indiana State American Legion Band; the Clay County Band sponsored by Brazil Post 2 of the American Legion; color guards from Bloomington Post 18 and Argos Post 68 and a float sponsored by Farmland Post 353. Ralph V. Cushman of Veedersburg, State Commander of The American Legion, will be the delegation chairptan and Frank J. Myers of Department Aajuntant, will be the delegation secretary. Indiana delegates will caucus on Monday, September 9 at 2 p.m. at the Jung Hotel in New Orleans and the causus is to be followed by the Department Commander’s Reception for the delegation at the same hotel. Ruckelshaus Heads County-wide Republcan Rally The Republican clubs in Marion County have joined together to have a giant outdoor rally on September 7. The place is the Eastgate Shopping Center parking lot. Free food and drink will be served starting at 6 p.m. All state and county Republican candidates will be present and the principal address will be given by William Ruckelshaus, can-
didate for United States Senator; talks will also be given by “Dub” Hill and Bill Bray, candidates for congress. Harry E. Eakin, president of the Eagle Creek GOP club announoed that plans had been made for west side residents to meet in the “500” Shopping Center across from the race track so that a caravan can be formed. The caravan will convene at 5 p.m. Chairman George Lentz has made arrangements for an escort to make the trip to Eastgate with the least possible delay. Every Republican is invited to this kick off for the fall campaign in Marion County. Daytime Card Party Community Council #47, Daughters of America is sponsoring a Benefit Daytime Card Party on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Maywood Community Hall, 2717 S. Moreland in Maywood. Playing time 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Everyone welcome. Indianapolis Hiking Club On September 8, the Indianapolis Hiking Club will hike the Chanktanungi Trial at Geist Reservoir.
