INDIANAPOLIS HIKING CLUB On August 18, at 2 p.m., the Indianapolis Hiking Club will meet at the Helen Ashby Farm and hike along Big Walnut Creek and Ramp Creek in Putnam County. West on SR 36 to Bainbridge, then north at the stoplight for 5 miles. After passing through Carpentersville go west at the first crossroad and proceed for % mile. The Ashby home is the first house on the right after the railroad. If desired, come

Cars will leave the east side of the State House at 12:30 p.m. Indiana State Fair to Feature Rowan and Martin Show The Rowan and Martin Show is coming to the Indiana State Fair. Dan Rowan and Dick Martin will bring their own special kind of humor to Indiana for two performances Saturday, Aug. 24. Showtime in the fairgrounds coliseum will be at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The comedy team - whose Monday night TV show is famous for “Sock It To Me” and “Here Come Da Judge” - had their most rewarding year in 1966 when they served as summer replacements on the Dean Martin Summer Show. It was the most highly rated in terms of audience numbers summer show in the history of television. The comic pair made numerous other television appearances in 1966, including six regular Dean Martin shows and four dates on the Hollywood Palace. Rowan and Martin got their start in night clubs and have spent most of their time entertaining on that circuit. They have appeared in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and nearly every major city in the United States. The two-man act is made up
