After attending first worship service, get your clothes changed and hurry back to the lot south of the Jr. High School Building by 10:45 to get loaded into cars for Turkey Run State Park. Girls are to bring a covered dish and boys a carton of soft drinks. Drivers are needed; if you or your parents can drive, call Tom McGilliard, 244-0196. Trail Camp Orientation group will meet in Fellowship Hall at 3:00 p.m. next Sunday afternoon. C.W.F. Bible Study will continue in the Bethany Room Monday, August sth, at 9 a.m. All ladies of the congregation are invited to participate. Why not start now? Fall Festival sewing continues each Wednesday at the Dotlich Farm. Sugar donations may be brought to the church kitchen any time from now on. Fall Festival will be held Saturday, September 28th! Golden Rule Fellowship will be held Thursday, August Bth, in the Bethany Room. Hannah Circle will be hostess. Miss Verna McGee will give the devotions; and the program will be a sound-filmstrip “The Church in New Testament Times.” Summer Choir rehearsal will be held Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. The C.W.F. wishes to thank all who brought donations of canned goods for the Wheeler Mission through the month of July. BENEFIT BAR-B-Q AND FISH FRY A fish fry and bar-b-q will highlight the 7th Annual Fun Festival sponsored by V.F.W. Post N. 7119 to be held Friday and Saturday, August 2 and 3. The Festival, to benefit the Community Service Fund of the V.F.W., which support such activities as the United Fund, March of Dimes, and many others will be held at the Post, 6525 N. Lee Road. Friday night’s entertainment will feature a fish fry and social night beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday’s main attraction will be a dance from 9 p.m. with music provided by the “Milanders”. No admission will be charged for the dance with admittance on a first come first served basis. Games for all ages, including a “kiddieland,” will be provided throughout both day. Door prizes will be awarded each day on the hour with the presentation of a SSOO, SIOO, and $75 U.S. bonds at 11 p.m. Saturday. Tickets may be purchased from any V.F.W. member or at the door.

Father Lindemann is saying all his daily Masses this week at 11:30 a.m. instead of at 8:00 a.m., so that he can get some much needed rest. He is offering all of his Masses in thanksgiving for a successful Festival. Father Kessler left for Detroit Sunday afternoon on account of the death of an aunt, and to say her funeral Mass on Monday morning. Father Kessler is offering his daily Masses at St. Chrstopher in thanksgiving for a successful Festival. The marriage banns were announced for the first time Sunday for William Saeger of St. Gabriel’s and Kathleen Mathis of St Christopher. Tomorrow is First Friday. A Mass at 5:30 p.m. is scheduled to be said. Nocturnal Adoration will be at St. Michael’s Church Friday, August 2nd. Hour for St. Christopher’s men is from 1:00 am. to 2:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3rd. Prayers will be offered for World Peace and the safe return for all our girls and boys from over seas. Outdoor City CYO dance will be at Holy Cross on tomorrow night from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. School dress is required. Music by “Sounds Unlimited.” Auditions for the CYO Talent Show are scheduled for Wednesday, August 7th, at Our Lady of Lourdes.
