SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH Continued from Page 1 I once began a sermon with these words: ‘lt is not easy for some folk to become Christian, and it is hard for others to remain Christian and hold onto faith.’ That sermon dealt with those things that can challenge faith and undermine it. But what happens when faith begins to erode? Are there any aids for dwindling faith? Someone suggests that loss of faith, in any department of human experience or endeavour, is the most devastating loss to which mortals are ever subject. True! Furthr, faith rarely fails all at once. It is usually a gradual process a slipping away, an erosion. What can be done then for ‘failng faith’? An important subject. If you do not already belong to a church fellowship we invite you to join with us at worship. Details of services and Church School times are listed below. Sunday, August 4th (11 a.m. Service). The Sacrament of Infant Baptism. Will those who are desirous of bringing their children for Baptism please contact the Church offce, if arrangements have not already been made. ‘Little Red Door’. Members are reminded that there will be no meeting of the ‘Little Red Door’ Sewing Group during the month of August. Sunday timetable 8:45 Worship Service 9:50 Church School.
