A WORD TO THE LOVELY LADY . . . Now that we have turned back the pages of time to the era of ruffles and lace again, let us hope that the “mystery” of our Beauty Secrets return as well. After several years of hard-edge beau-ty-of swingers way in and way out-emphasis on the dashing rather than the delicate-here we go with curls and ruffles and lace. The scene of the girl in pants on a date with the boy in pants, “mystery” was no where to be found. No one was expected to believe that the blush on your cheek and the fake lashes sweeping your cheeks were real. In fact, with so much emphasis on frankness, maybe you glued on your lashes while he looked on. Or, whipped off your hairpiece to enjoy his look of surprise. It’s conceivable that he likes the illusion of your prettily tinted skin and your fragrant hair and your peach-bloom lips without actually witnessing how you work for them-even though he knows you do. You might try doing your beauty endeavors behind closed doors, and not make your appearance until you are the “vision of beauty” he admires. Wouldn’s it be a wonderful about face if the currant
