"FINIAN'S RAINBOW” "Something Sort of Grandish" What theatregoers all over the world since 1947 have generally agreed is “Something sort of Granish” will be on view at the Speedway High School Auditorium for two performances of May 10 and 11. This Broadway musical hit called “Finian’s Rainbow” features Preston Sinks as a sexyish leprechaun all the way from Ireland. Preston sings “Something Sort of Grandish” as well as “If Tm Not Near the Girl I Love.” “Old Devil Moon” and “If This Isn’t Love” will be sung by the heroine of the story, Debbie Medenwald. Tom Burnett will be seen in this picture-book blend of old-world fantasy and newworld satire as the appealing and slightly zany, Finian McLonergan. “Finian’s Rainbow,” written by E. V. Harburg & Fred Saidy, with lyrics by Harburg & music by Burton Lane, enjoyed a run of 91 weeks when it was first produced in New York in 1947, as being as fresh as ever when it was revived there in the spring of 1955. The production at the Speedway High School Theatre is being directed by Mr. Robert Wise, Mr. Charles Horoho, Doug x Rosebrock, and Karin Kyle.
