LIONS TRAVELOGUE (Continued from Page 1) tation in which he uses three screens and four projectors. He also incorpor ates hi-fidelity stereophonic equipment and music and sound effects recorded on-the-spot. He carries his own equipment which takes a considerable amount of time to set up in each auditorium. His program has sometimes been referred to as a“movie-slide presentation”. He has presented this unusual program in some of the largest auditoriums in the country. Recently, the travel officials of the country of Holland commissioned him to produce, a similar travelogue on the Netherlands, underwriting all his expenses an unprecedented arrangement in the travelogue field. Some have remarked, “On a par with Cinerama.” SPRING CAPTURES HOLLAND There are many reasons why spring is the ideal time to visit The Netherlands. In April the broad, flat polderlands, from Haarlem to Leiden, are a solid mat of color. For a brilliant spring show of Holland’s most valuable product, the tulip, stroll with us the winding lanes of Keukenhof Gardens, where restful, wooded landscape blends with unforgetable flower beds. Meander through the lush spring greenness of the countryside and see, duplicated, scenes that inspired Dutch master painters of earlier centuries. Warming days will make you want to take to Holland’s well-planned highways, or attractive waterways with us. So come along, for in Holland you will be charmed by fairy tale castles De Harr and Muiderslot intrigued by miniature Madurodam, Holland’s tiniest town captivated by the beauty of Keukenhof in May educated in historic Delft, in Arnhem’s Open Air Museum, and Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum impressed by resurrected Rotterdam, bustling water gateway to Europe lulled by the North Sea, at colorful Scheveningen, queen of Holland’s seaside resorts awed by the mighty organ at magnificent, medieval St Bavo fascinated by the forest of windmills at kinderdyk relaxed in dreamy Veere, or untouched Spakenburg, where costumes have scarcely changed since the middle ages enchanted by Amsterdam’s illuminated canals entertained by barrel organ music in the streets, while lounging in a sidewalk case, thrilled at the display of DutchAmerican friendship at Margraten- Military Cemetery exhilarated at Filzmoos, picturesque Austrian mountain resort, as we join Dutch citizens on a holiday.

SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH Continued from Pagul Belief in ‘something beyond’ is not new, neither is it something unique to Christians. From the dawn of history men and women have looked at this life and have speculated about another. The Egyptians embalmed their dead and made elaborate preparaions for another existence in a world invisible. The Greeks raised arguments for the ‘immortality’ of the soul. The Jews before the Christian era believed in Sheol, though to be sure it was but a hazy notion, and Sheol was little more than a place of shades and forgetfulness. The idea of ‘somehting beyond’ is not new, but truly the full Christian doctrine of Immortality stands unique. It answers the deep queryings of hearts ‘Can Ibe sure that my loved-ones live on?’ ‘ls there more or just an abyss of nothingness?’ We invite you to be present with us this coming Sunday as we examine this important theme and set out ‘reasons for the hope that is within us.’ During the 11 a.m. Service there will take place the Sacrament of Infant Baptism. Others desiring to bring infants for baptisms are asked to contact the Church Office. Please note: April 29th—6:30 p.m. Weslayan Bible Class with Mrs. George Mercer, 4965 W. 16th St. April 27th.
