THE TOWN BOARD REPORTS 87. Ray L. Oeth, Clerk-Treasurer The Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Speedway held their regular meeting on Monday evening, March 11, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. in the Town Hall Auditorium. The Board authorized Mr. Cal Morgan, Sanitation Plant Superintendent to get cost on fencing the Plant property. he Board awarded contract for three police cars to Carson Ford Sales, Brownsburg, Indiana as the low bidder. The Board approved request from The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company to fly their Airship over the Town of Speedway from May 12, 1968 through May 30, 1968. The Board approved the purchase of two Walkie-Talkies to be used by the Police Department, at a cost of $1,378.00. This equipment will be used by the Police Reserves mostly during the month of May. Mr. Lou Jackson, Street Superintendent presented a sample of new street signs he proposes to make during the winter months. The dance -will be held at the Clermont Lions Club on South Tanzel Road from 8 to 11 p.m. All square dancers are invited out for an evening of fun.
