Passion Sunday March 31st At each service there will be Choral Worship with the Chancel Choir presenting the “Seven Last Words”. METHODIST MEN-LENTEN PROGRAM Saturday. March 23rd “An Evening of Music” at the Ben Davis High School. Three big choirs will present a program of music. Admission: $1.25. Proceeds towards the foundation of a seminary scholarship for the training of a minister. Methodist Youth Fellowship Sunday, March 4th. Series “Youth and Sex” This will be the final session in the present series. Rev. Blessing will lead the session and show the film “For Better or Worse”. SPEEDWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH Continued from Pago 1 The chancel flowers will be given by Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Sharp, Mr. and Mrs. Walker Sharp, and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Sharp, in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. John Sharp. The final series of our Sunday Evening Seminars will be held next Sunday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Child care for Crib Room through Twos, and children’s classes for age three through sixth grade, will continue as usual The Jf. Hi young people will see a film and have discussion, led by Rev. Art Vermillion. Dr. Spencer P. Austin will conduct the class studying “What On Earth Is Our Church Doing” this final Sunday considering “what is our church expecting to do in the future.” The class under the direction of Dr. David Pellet will discuss “How to Read and Study the Bible Right and Wrong Ways.” Dr. Joseph Smith will discuss our Christian attitude toward men of other faiths. In the Sanctuary, following the Snack supper, the Motet Choir will present “Prophet Unwilling” by David Wehr. C.W.F. Bible Study will continue Monday morning at 9 o’clock in the Bethany Room. Come and join this faithful group in their study and discussion of the Bible. It is an excellent way to begin the week. C.M.F. Dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25th. Program will be “The Inner City What Is It Really Like?” There will be a panel discussion led by Mrs. Howard Gustafson. If you have not been contacted for a ticket, be sure to call the church office. Fall Festival Sewing is again a regular Wednesday project at the Dotlich Farm. Come and spend the day. Save buttons, yarn, old nylons, odds ’n ends of all kinds. Service Day for The Little Red Door will be held Thursday, March 28th, from 9:00 to 3:00, in Fellowshpi Hall. Hannah Circle is hostess. White goods is always needed. Bring a sandwich and spend the day. Pastor’s Instruction Classes will continue Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. John Andrae will be instructing those of sixth grade age, and Dr. Ray Montgomery is conducting the class for older teenagers. A Service of Ordination will be held for Bart Updike on March 31st, at 4:00 p.m. The congregation is invited to attend. Jr. High CYF Paper Drive Saturday, April 6th, 9:00 am. Crates will be located on the Jr. High parking lot on 13th Street. Proceeds from this paper sale will be used for aid to refugee children.
