The Ants Have Come! Yes the ants HAVE come to Speedway High School. The Speedway stage is set for one of its most unusual productions, Samuel Spewacks Under the Sycamore Tree. This riotous comedy is a satire on human life, from an ants point of view. Therefor the stage has been transformed into an underground kingdom, an ant kingdom. Here we find a colony of ants who want to become more human like, and they do so by following a carefully laid plan of the ant scientist. The ants play with politics, war, science, love, and marriage and what they do with it will leave you rolling in the isles with laughter. Nothing is safe from the | satiracle spears of Samuel Spewack. As they proceeds from one hilarious incident to the next, we se a remarkable change in the ants. They become passionate, jealous, greedy, sly, irritable —in i short, they become human. They become passionate, jealous, greedy, sly, irritable—in short, they become human. They progress from an orderly systematic colony to a thoroughly confused i human like society. Don’t believe me? Come see for yourself. And . laugh! i Peggy Chambers portrays the [ Ant Queen.
