GIANT ANT EGGS FOUND IN SPEEDWAY HIGH SCHOOL Giant ant eggs, giant wasp heads, talking ants? Yes, these can all be found at Speedway High School as the prop crew prepares for Samuel Spewacks Under the Sycamore Tree. And these are only a few of the problems facing them.

How does one go about making ant eggs? The propcrew put their heads together and finally came up with an idea. Saturday, February 23, they found themselves elbows deep in plaster of Paris. Newspaper and plaster covered the floor of the dressing rooms back stage. Plaster covered balloons hung drying on ropes extending across the rooms. Plaster covered people furiously mixed plaster, blew up balloons, covered them with plaster, and hung them up to harden. They found that plaster hardened in an unbelieveably short time. Will these plaster eggs work? Will they look like Ant eggs? This is a question you can answer for yourself, some see Samuel Spewacks Under the Sycamore Tree. Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, are the dates of the play. The time is 8:00 p.m. The place is Speedway High School auditorium. Tickets are on sale now. For more information or tickets contact Mr. Don Johnson.
