CHILDREN'S MUSEUM March is International Month at the Children’s Museum and a program Saturday morning (March 2) by Othmar Grueninger, “Going ‘Round the Globe,” will begin the observation. Grueninger will tell boys and girls eight and older about worldwide travel, how to go, what to do when you arrive, and what kind of people and customs can be expected. At the same time younger children will meet in the museum craft room. David Cassady, curator of education, will show a museum object of interest and discuss it Youngsters have an opportunity to ask questions and to handle the item. Both programs are free and begin at 11 o’clock. In keeping with International Month, a special exhibit of dolls of the world may be seen at the Children’s Museum. They are dressed in colorful costumes of their homeland. March Scout badge classes will have their first meeting at the Children’s Museum Saturday from 2 to 4 o’clock. Badges being offered are puppeteer for cadette Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girls, and folklore for the junior group. Registration information may be obtained at the museum.
CROSSROADS ART SHOW > Crossroads Rehabilitation Center will sponsor a special art show March 2 and 3, 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 pan. at the Meridian Art Gallery, 3117 North Meridian. An invitational preview for art patrons and the press will be held March 1, 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The event, which will officially launch the 1968 Easter Seal campaign in central Indiana, will be opened by Mayor Richard G. Lugar, Mrs. Roger D. Branigin, honorary Easter Seal Chairman, and Tammy Outlaw, Crossroads Easter Seal child. { The exhibit, “The Happy Traveler”, consists of fifteen water color impressions by the noted American artist, Ruth Strauss. The world wide touring exhibit is owned by Scandinavian Airlines, who commissioned Miss Strauss to paint these scenes of Scandinavia and Russia. Included in the art collection is a scene of the Hans Christian Anderson home in Odense, a bandstand in Bergen, St. Basils Cathedral, Moscow, and the Stadhuset in Stockholm.

Shell Gift To Butler A $1,500 gift to Butler University from the Shell Companies Foundation, Inc., New York, was announced today by Dr. Alexander E. Jones, Butler president. The grant under the Shell Assists Program will apply toward current operations as well as faculty development programs in chemistry, mathematics and physics. It will make it possible for the three departments to send faculty representatives to professional meetings designed to keep them informed on the current developmnts in their fields. The gift to Butler was pre* sented by Earl C. McCaig, district manager of the Shell Oil Co., Indianapolis District.
