cond will be announced in 1971 and the third in 1973. “We have not set limiting guidelines,” Mrs. Ahrbecker said, “because we hope to encourage the widest possible interest. There are so many opportunities—talking books to overcome language barriers, development of humanistic librares, audio-visual materials for the mentally retarded, special studies in American history, music and art appreciation on the level of the eductionally deprived. Our urban problems offer a vast area for A.D.K.-sponsored work, too.” Alpha Delta Kappa, now in its 21st year, was founded in Kansas City by four women, two of whom remain active. It now has approximately 33,000 members in 1,134 chapters in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and Argentina.

CHANGES AT ALLISONS Four administrative changes in the personnel department at the Allison Division of General Motors have been announced by Martin J. Cavanaugh, division personnel director. The changes become effective November 1. Carl A. McLear, personnel manager for Indianapolis plants, has been named divisional director of personnel services. Verlin A. (Dusty) Rhodes, personnel manager at the Cleveland Army Tank-Automotive Plant has been appointed divisional director of salary personnel. Thomas J. Dwyer, director of hourly personnel administration for Indianapolis plants, has been named divisional director of hourly personnel administration. John B. Penniman, personnel manager for the Military Vehicles Organization, has been appointed personnel manager at the Tank Plant and will move to Cleveland from Warren, Michigan. Messrs. McLear, Rhodes and Dwyer will be headquarters in Indianapolis.
