Bruce Sherman Candidate for Trustee 4th Ward
I believe good government means good management of the affairs of the people. Government is for the purpose of serving the desires of the people and should be kept to a minimum consistent with their collective needs. It requires present and future planing to provide quality services with fair and equitable treatment for residents and employes alike. Local affairs are best handled by qualified local people without outside interference. I believe Speedway will best maintain its status as a self governed community by acting in the above manner to provide the major services whcih excel those of its neighbors with efficiency and a low tax rate. “Speedway - A Good Place to Work, A Better Place to Live”. On November 7, line 1, Ward 4, Bruce Sherman. Your vote will be appreciated. —(Paid Political Adv.)

You probably have noticed some people at times have strange ideas about clergymen. No minister, priest or rabbi is supernatural. They are human beings. The inner voice which beckoned them to their calling usually provides them with patience, tolerance and benevolence. But they are still human and have the same traits of curiosity and anxiety as other people. We imagine most men of the cloth wonder at times about their adequacy - or inadequacies. Hours of preparation and prayer precede a worship service. Even so, no clergyman can strike a responsive chord to or for every one on every occasion. This is just as impossible as it is for a ball player to hit a home run every time at bat But when a responsive chord is struck, wouldn’t it be a good idea . at least once in a while - to write a note and say so? Remember, they are human too ... Farley Speedway Funeral Home. 2950 North High School Road. Phone 291-1183.
