The constitution of the newly formed St Christopher Lay School Board was adopted at the meeting held Wednesday night October filth. The following ten men were elected to the Board: Donald Arens, Robert Bailey, John Bertang, John Grande, Ralph F. Holland, I James Jenks, David Knott Jhn Miller, Frank Munshower, and Dick Zeph. The first meeting of the Board will be Monday, November 113th. All members of the parish are invited to Board meetings, which will be held the second Monday of each month.

SCHOOL HEWS (Continued tram page 1). Warren Central Last Saturday, Dudley Burdge and Guy Roush each competed in four rounds and each won all four rounds. Bruca Frazer and Lora Hittle each won two rounds of the tour they debated. Thirty-three Speedway High School students, all novices in speech competition, were entered in the speech contest at Logansport last week. Toni Baner won third place in Humorous, and Tony Mitchell won fourth place in Girls' Extemporaneous. Six Speedway High School twirlers won superior rating at the district twirling contest held last Saturday at Southport They were Barbara Faria, Peggy Lewtor, Vicki Lott, Jinny Sauer, Nancy Sauer, and Sally Wacker. Last week Fire Chief Cliff Francis and several other members of the Speedway Fire Department visited each of the Speedway schools and observed fire drills.

Nine members of the Sparkleaires will participate in toe State ! Choir Festival on October 26. A combined chorus of approximately 800 students from Indiana high schools will present a program at 7:30 PM. in Cadle Tabernacle. Speedway representatives will include Barbara Guire, Barbara Foltz, Debbie White, Yvonne Riggs, Ed Bailey, Doug Bryant Gary Youmana, Mike Waterfall, and Boh Price. Speedway won a Mid-State Conference football game last week by defeating Danville 30-0 on the losers’ field. Speedway reserve team won a game with Mooresville by a 13-12 score. Other football scores for toe past week were Fulton freshmen 20, Speedway 7;‘'Speedway Bth grade 26, Belzer “B” team 0; Speedway 7th grade 27, Belzer “A” team O. Speedway placed third in toe Marion County Cross Country Meet held last week in which twelve schools competed. Decatur Central won the Mid-State Conference Meet and Speedway placed second. Perry Central freshmen won a meet with Speedway; final scores were Perry Central 22, Speedway 32.
