Scout Troop No. 66 For some time now the house at 1550 Mickley has been the focal point of our Troop meetings and activities. The property is owned by the Town and thru their interest in Speedway youth they have made it available for the promotion of Scouting activity within The Town of SpeedThe Scout house includes two meeting rooms plus a garage for the storage of equipment. In addi. tion to the house there is a sufficient area for camping. The property has been continually improved each year; however, this improvement has been realized only thru the interest of local benefactors. The Falender Building Corpora, tion was responsible for one of the major improvements when they added a concrete floor to the main meeting room. Last year a concrete floor was added to the smaller meeting room by the C. A. Jackson Company. The R. T. Moore Co. Inc. is responsible for the furnace and plumbing installation while Ray Fulton installed the furnace ducts. The Speedway Lions Club sponsors Troop No. 66 and their continued financial assistance has helped us to maintain the house as it should be. Their assistance has enabled us to add a new roof, to install a ceiling, and to redecorate the interior. Our Troop meetings are held on Mondays at 7:0 PM. and we cordially invite each of you to visit us. We are not only proud of the house, but we also want you to know that we have been responsible custodians of your generosity, time, and interest. Our sincere thanks to each of you.

MY THREE ANGELS RUED WITH FUN Ever heard of Devil’s Island? That’s where Speedway Student Theatre opens its 1967-68 season of entertaining productions. The talented group of Thespians starts off this year with a humorous bang under the guidance of Mr. Andrew Wagner, who directs MY THREEE ANGELS, by Sam and Bella Spewack. The delightful play is the story of three convicts on temporary work leave, who have been sentenced to Devil’s Island for anywhere from twenty years to life. Two of the convicts are murderers; the other an ex-forger and ex-pro-moter. While working at the household of Felix Ducotel and his wife Emilie, they learn that Felix is incapable of telling a lie and therefore is in danger of having his shop easily over-taken by his villainous cousin, Henri. Henri, though, brings with him his nephew, Paul, with whom Felix’s daughter, Marie Louise, in love. The angels try to arrange a marriage between this couple so Henri won't bother Emilie and Felix and so that they themselves can have a little peace and quiet. Unfortunately, the angel’s pet snake, Adolphe, escapes from his cage and puts and end to one of the characters in the play, which complicates affairs decidely. But, being a comedy, the action climaxes favorably and hilar, iously.
Mr. Wagner has had the job of putting this rather complicated plot together but he has had much help from his able cast Preston Sinks holds the lead as the “leader’’ of the threesome of crooks, Joseph. His comrades are portrayed by Doug Rosebrock (Alfred) and Denny Smith (Jules). Together they serve to confound, confuse, and sometimes anger everyone else in the play, especially poor Felix and Emilie (Bruce Frazier and Cathy Hutchinson). Henri (Roger Hershberger) takes out his wrath on them, while Eric DeWeese (as Paul) is annoyed by their matchmaking him with Marie Louise (Nancy Casady). Linda Hodge adds a bit of comic silliness as ridiculous Mm e. Parole, a frequent customer of the Ducotels’. Another senior, Scott McClelland (Who won the Best Actor award last year) portrays a Mixed-up French Lieutenant who stumbles into the Ducotel household just as things are getting agitated again by a SECOND murder! All in all humor abounds in this marvelous comedy outing to be presented on the Speedway High School stage to-day at 3:45 apd this Saturday at 8:00 PM. Tickets can be found at the Speedway High School Speech Department or by calling Mr. Don Johnson. You can also get them at the door. See you there —and, bring a bottle of SnakeBite Antidote.
