BY Sam and Bella Spewack Thursday, October 19th 3:45 p.m. Saturday, October 21st Speedway High School Auditorium Mail Orders Now Reserved seats on sale now
MY THREE ANGELS “My Three Angels” by Sam & Bella Sepwack is a hilarious comedy which is brought to life by a talented group. Many of the leading roles are portrayed by veterans of the Speedway stage. Preston Sinks is an accomplished actor with experience in musicals and summer theatre work. Among his most memorable parts are Eagle-Eye Fleegle and Rumplestilskin. Dough Rosebrock is another talented and experienced actor. He has portrayed equally well comic and dramatic roles (including Sefton in Stalag 17). Cathy Hutchison portrays a mid-dle-aged wife in “My Three Angels”. This talented actress was rewarded last year Best Supporting Actress for her interpretation of Ida in “See How They Run”. Roger Hershberger, the vilain to be, is best remembered as the delightful Stosh in “Stalag 17”. Bruce Frazier introduced his talents to the Speedway stage this past summer. Denny Smith lighted our stage with his vim and vigor in “Damn Yankees”. We’re looking forward to his role as Jules. Eric DeWeese also gained experience on Speedway’s Children’s Theatre stage in “Hatful of Rain” As in “Ali Baba” he provides the romantic interest in “My Three Angels”. Linda Hodge is a newcomer to the stage and we are anticipating her debut. These Thespians are directed by Mr. Andrew Wagner. He’s gained experience and favor with Speedway audiences through productions of “Cinderella” and “See How They Run”. With such talent, the production is bound to be a success! We wish them all the best of luck. W.S.C.S. BAZAAR Make plans now to attend the luncheon at the Speedway Methodist Church on Wednesday, Nov. from 11 to 2 p.m. After eating, browse through the bazaar items. GARAGE SALE OCT. 13-14 2830 Moller Road Symphony Group Schedules Benefit Card Party Westwood Country Club, 1501 N. High School Road, will be an autumn garden of color for the West Group, Women’s Symphony Committee’s Benefit Card Party on Friday, October 20, at 7:30 p.m. All profits will go to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s maintenance fund. Mrs. Dan C. Whitmore and Mrs. Howard G. Crick are co-chair-men. The ambitious table prize committee took over Mrs. Whitmore’s garage to make more than 100 antiqued distressed wood plaques. The donated pictures were carefully trimmed, the edges burned, and the wooden background “distressed” with a carefully aimed meat pounder. The results are a table prize to be treasured! Mr. Whitmore and Mr. Crick were drafted (as many committee chairmen husbands are) to cut and round the corners of the wooden background. Although a bit dubious at first, they are as pleased as the committee is with the product! BE A CUB SCOUT GOOD-GAL Are you a Grandmother, Aunt, or Good friend and could help with the Cub Scouting program? There is a need for more Den Mothers or assistants. BRUCE SHERMAN
x. ■ F Candidate for 4th Ward Trustee
A man and his family can live in a community without ever giving anything in return for the benefits received. Having partaken of Speedway’s advantages for many years, I hope that I may return something to the community by service on the Town Board. My interest in management and my 16 years of supervisory and management experience at Allison indicate this is where I can serve best. I believe in “Speedway A Good Place to Work, A Better Place to Live”. Your vote on November 7 will be appreciated. Look on line 1, Ward 4. Bruce Sherman
