-'jaeral Hospital Nurses Alumni More than 400 reservations from alumni of the Marion County General Hospital School of Nursing have been received for the biennial homecoming of the schol’s Alumni Association Sept. 15. The event will mark an 84th birthday salute to the hospital nursing school, Hoosierland’s first, founded in 1883. “The New Lok” will feature the all-day program at General, where a sl6 million expansion is slated for completion next January. tion and a coffee for alumni in the Nursing School residence at 9 a.m. A luncheon will be served in General’s Gerrin Court, outdoor retreat established for the school in 1940 by the Woman’s Department Club. An afternoon program will include presentation of special citations and a salute to members of the graduating classes of 1941 and 1942, marking 25th anniversaries at the biennial. Following the formal program, a film, “Project Hope,” will be projected by Dr. Arthur Baptist!, Jr., director of obstetrics and gynecology at General and volunteer physician-teacher for Project Hope, privately endowed teaching program of U.S. doctors for underpriveleged countries throughout the world.
