A WORD TO THE LOVELY LADY...

What is the summer hair fashion news? A multitude of curls, and, so ultra feminine. How can one be in fashion and also, enjoy the pool, sun-bathing and swimming? Yes, there are so many pretty coiffures to wear, more than one especially for you . this magic can happen with the use of a hair-piece. INSTANT BEAUTY! You can slip a Fall over short, windblown tresses and instantly become a flawlessly coiffured long - haired beauty. With a postiche added to your wardrobe, you can change your coiffure as often as your mood with curls, ringlets or braids. The market offers such a variety of hair-pieces, style-wise and bud-get-wise. Another amazing fact is that even if you are all thumbs working with your own hair, you would surprise yourself at the ease you could handle your hairpiece. Styling your own hair and working on another head of hair is a completely opposite maneuver. Just fasten the hair-piece to the arm of an over-stuffed chair or to your ironing board and style whatever you desire. It’s thait simple! You may try wearing and enjoying a frosted postiche, which is my favorite. I’ve always wanted to frost my own hair, but, didn’t think I could bear with the process. Instead, the glamour is my hair-piece. You, too, can be the Lovely Lady with the secret of Instant Beauty and enjoy every moment of the summer fun days ahead. Sincerely, Claudia

WESTSIDE HOSPITAL (Continued from Page 1) munity and medical profession begin immediately to meet the need for the rapidly growing and changing area. “Since 1960 more than a dozen large housing and apartment developments, and over 30 new industries buildings have filled empty fields and all of this is resulting in an increased demand for local community services”, Mr. Thompson explained. “By 1970 the population of the far westside of Marion County is projected to exceed 200,000 persons and another 60,000 are expected to be living in nearby Hendricks County,” Thompson said. The people and community leaders of Indianapolis have well accepted the responsibility of meeting the increased demands placed upon existing medical fa-

cilities in recent years, but we must continue to plan for the future. The purpose of the Greater Westside Hospital Development Corporation is to locate a site and construct a medical facility that will compliment and coordinate with the existing facilities in the area, Mr. Thompson pointed out. “We must get our story to the people and leaders of the westside and neighboring area,” he said. He urged all those attending the meeting to begin inviting speakers from the Greater Westside Hospital Development Corporation to appear at group, club, and organization meetings. Interest in building a hospital on the westside is not new, it was pointed out. In 1961 a citizen’s committee for this purpose was established in Speedway by the Reverand John L. way Christian Church. The group stimulated much interest among community leaders and persons in the medical profession. In 1964 another group headed by the Reverand Ross W. Marrs, Minister of the Mt. Olive Methodist Church, formed for the purpose of studying the need for hospital facilities to serve the rapidly developing westside. Soon the Speedway interest group and the Ben Davis interest group learned of each other and in a united community effort they joined together in March 1965 and incorporated under the present name, Greater Westside Hospital Development Corporation. “At the present time we know the need exists. What we are seeking is a response to this challenge from the people of the community”, Thompson concluded.
