Service To Honor Dead Lt. Gen. James Doolittle, oncefamed speed flier and leader of the 1942 bombing raid on Tokyo, will participate in this year’s “500” Festival memorial service on the south steps of the World War Memorial at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28. The memorial statement is to be made by the Rev. R. H. Peoples, pastor of Second Christian Church. The invocation will be given by the Rev. Fr. Leo Lindemann, pastor of St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church and the benediction by the Rev. Fr. Paul Craciun Jr., priest of Sts. Constantine and Elena Romanian Orthodox Church. Rosary was said at Conkle’s Funeral Home Monday night at 8:30. His funeral Mass was said at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning in St. Christopher Church. Mrs. Clair Pendergast was remembered in the 6:15 Mass on Monday morning by Father Richart. Ed Pendergast requested the Mass. The 8 o’clock Mass was said for Kenneth Grimm at the request of Janet O’Neal. The early Mass on Tuesday morning remembered Eileen Murphy at the request of Mrs. Hilda Hunter, her sister. The later Mass remembered James Willey at the request of the Frank Medenwald family. Friends of John J. Reilly asked that the 6:15 Mass on Wednesday morning be said for him. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Onafrey asked that the 8 o’clock Mass be said for Susan Onafrey. The early Mass this morning was said for Lorenzo Bandini, the race driver who died of burns received from an accident in the Monaco Race. Walter Weir requested the Mass. The later Mass was said by Father Lindemann for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher on the Feast of Corpus Christi. Tomorrow morning the Mass will remember Joseph Caccia, a mechanic The Mass will be at 6:15 a.m. Tony Caccia requested the Mass. At eight o’clock a Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered by Mr. and Mrs. Didas At 6:15 on Saturday morning, the Mass will be said for Xavier Hutter at the request of the Hutter and Prigge families. At 11:30, the Mac will be said for Delia Collins at the request of friends. On Wednesday night, the CYO held a Social from 7:00 to 8:30, to welcome Father Raymond Kessler, St Christopher’s new Assistant Pastor, and to meet the Bth grade graduates. Last Sunday was the last class for grade school public school instructions until Fall. Riverside 'IOO Days of Fun Opens Riverside Amusement park, the state’s oldest and largest, will officially opens its “100 Days of Fun” season this Friday night, May 26th, at 7:00 PM. The Park, which has been operating since 1903, will again offer a “Pay One Price” policy to its patrons. The POP plan offers 26 major rides and fun attractions for the admission price only. A patron may ride as many, or as often as he wishes for only the admission price. The park is open Tuesday through Sunday nights, and Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. Admission is $1.75 on the week days and $2.50 Saturday and Sunday.
