A Word To The Lovely lady . • . Grass mowing has become a constant demand, trees are adorning their complete beauty in rich green hues, many flowers are bursting forth with eleoquent array and varied, intoxicating fragnances . . . children’s laughter and play fills the outdoors abuntantly . . . and our summer complextion tone and texture change has begun ... Many of you may have read my Word to the Lovely Lady concerning beforehand preparation for a healthy summw tan, byt, may have forgotten a few particulars to keep the skin soft, supple and moist, which, of course, is a promise against wrinkles and dryness. One must never be exposed to the rays of the sun with an unprepared skin. Such an event may cause permanent damage in the line of pigmentation disorders, which can occur if the skin blisters and peals. Or, an abundance of freckles or liver spots may be the permanent damage in an otherwise flawless complextion. Normal freckling from the sun on a complextion that has been prepared and not over-exposed is often appealing and attractive. You certainly know that exposion to the sun must be gradual, even if you tan without any problem. A darker complextion will tan with little effort, and, never burn, but, this does not mean that lotions and creams are not a must The wrinkling this person will suddenly be faced with in years to come is sad! Fair-skinned persons, usually afraid of sunburn generally are versed in pre-cau-tion and will avoid the wrinkling years dark-skinned persons are unaware of. Another unthoughtof hint is to u?e control with too hot a bath or shower, and, of course, remember bath oils are a fabulous lubricant. Immediately after bathing, gently pat the body with a towel, avoid strenuous rubbing, this is too rough for the delicate epidermi! Then, very lavishly, support this luxureous treatment with a good Body Lotion.
Wearing tan legs instead of stockings in the warm weather is a very comfortable fashion, and, once tan, we want to preserve the skin tone. There are items on the market to remove hair from the legs without a razor, but, the skin becomes dry and flakes off, leaving patchy coloring. Try to obtain a lotion to be used with the razor, which purposely is well lubricated to keep the skin moist while shaving. An additional application of the lotion afterwards will be added protection against dryness. With cmoplete control over your sun-tanning moments, you will enjoy breezing through the summer months, looking healthy with a skin texture you will wear proudly, Remember, your first improper exposure to the rays of the sun may be the ruination of the fun-filled days ahead. Have fun in the sun, Lovely Lady, and this summer may reveal adventure, romance and many memorable moments .... Sincerely, Claudia
